Vivitek today introduced a new member from its projector series. Dubbed as the H1080FD, this projector features a native 1080p (1920×1080) resolution, a 1,800 lumens of brightness and a contrast ratio of 5,000:1. Other connectivity options include two HDMI ports, Composite Video, S-Video, Component Video, RS-232c and a 12v Trigger. Each lamp has a life of 3,000 hours with a noise level of 29dB. It incorporates a DLP® chipset from Texas Instruments to ensure the digital images don’t fade or degrade over time. The H1080FD home theater projector will be available in August 2009 through authorized Vivitek retailers, dealers and distributors. The H1080FD has an MSRP of $999 with a 1-year limited warranty on parts and labor and a 90-day lamp warranty. [Press Release]
