Samsung Mondi MID (SWD-M100) Available In August At Sprint

First introduced back in June at the World IT Show 2009 in Korea, Samsung’s latest WiMax enabled handheld device ‘Mondi MID‘ aka SWD-M100 is finally coming to US starting on August 1st via Sprint. Running on Windows Mobile 6.1 pro, this mobile internet device boasts a 4.3-inch full touchscreen display, a full QWERTY slide keyboard, a 3MP camera, GPS function, WiFi, Bluetooth and operates on Sprint’s WiMax network. Optima will release a competitor to the Nokia N810 Internet tablet in the form of the OP5-E MID. The gadget is currently undergoing one last round of software tests before launch. Measuring 143mm x 74mm x 17.6mm, the OP5-E MID is powered by a 806MHz Marvell PXA320 CPU, a 128MB RAM, a 256MB ROM, a microSD memory card slot, a 3.2-megapixel shooter, a 4.3-inch WVGA resistive touchscreen display, Built-in 3G connectivity, Maemo Linux OS, GPS, WiFi, and Bluetooth 2.0. Its 2600mAh li-polymer battery provides up to 8-hour of operation time. No word on pricing or availability so far. [Optima China]

Samsung Electronics has introduced its new mobile WiMAX enabled handheld device during World IT Show 2009 in Korea. Dubbed as the Mondi, this portable device integrates a 4.3-inch full touchscreen display, a full QWERTY slide keyboard, a 3MP camera, GPS function, WiFi, Bluetooth and runs on Windows Mobile 6.1 OS. Not to mention, it also comes packed with multimedia features that offer instant access to E-mail, Internet, video content and business applications. Unfortunately, there’s no word on pricing and release date yet.
