PowerColor Introduces Radeon PCS HD 4770

PowerColor has introduced a new member to its RV740-powered graphic card line-up in the form of the Radeon PCS (Professional Cooling System) HD 4770. This new graphics card is equipped with 640 Stream Processors, a 128-bit memory interface, a 512MB of GDDR5 memory, a dual-slot Arctic Cooling fansink and factory overclocked frequencies – 750MHz for the GPU and 3200MHz for the memory. It also features two DVI outputs and supports DirectX 10.1 as well as CrossFirex. The Radeon PCS HD 4770 is expected to hit stores later this month for under 100 Euro. [TCMagazine]

HIS Radeon HD 4890 iCooler x4 Graphics Card

Hightech Information System (HIS) is getting ready to introduce its first custom-cooled graphics card namely the Radeon HD 4890 iCooler x4. This new graphics card integrates 800 Stream processors, a 1GB of GDDR5 memory, a 256-bit memory interface, a nice dual-slot fansink covering almost all the PCB and factory overclocked frequencies – 800MHz for the GPU and 3900MHz for the memory. Sharp LE600 and LE700 LED TV Series

Sharp has rolled out the LE600 and LE700 LED TV series. The former comes in 32-inch, 40-inch and 46-inch models, meanwhile the latter has all those plus the added advantage of a 52-inch model. Both the LE600 and LE70 series feature Full HD resolution, LED backlights, a contrast ratio of 4,000:1, Sharp’s “X-Gen Panel” with its proprietary “Mega Contrast” and “Brilliant colour Processor” technology. The Sharp LE700 is better than the LE600 because it has a quick 4ms response time, four HDMI ports, and a USB port that allows playback of MP3 and JPEG files directly from a USB Flash drive. HP comes back with their largest computer LCD display known as the 2709m. This 27-inch monitor supports a 16:9 aspect ratio, a 1920×1080 Full HD resolution, a 5ms On/Off response times (typical), a 3ms Gray to Gray response times, a 400 nits brightness, a 1000:1 contrast ratio, a 30,000 dynamic contrast ratio, and a 92% color gamut. Kodak Zi8 HD Pocket Camcorder

Kodak will release the new Zi8 HD ultra-portable camcorder in September 2009. As a successor to the Zi6 and the Zx1, the new Zi8 comes with a larger 2.5-inch LCD, a face recognition, an image stabilization, and a 1080p HD recording. Users can also upload pictures directly to YouTube and Facebook. In addition, the camcorder has a flip-out USB arm for connection to a computer. Asus O!Play HDP-R1 Media Player

Our friends at Engadget Spanish have a new toy in their office. Asus has sent them the ASUS O!Play HDP-R1 media player. The gadget supports an HD video playback in a wide variety of codecs, including MPEG1/2/4, H.264, VC-1, and RM/RMVB. Unfortunately, there is no info on pricing or release date in the US. ASUS has come out with a new graphics card in the form of the Radeon HD 4870. The EAH4870/HTDI/1GD5 integrates 800 Stream Processors, a 256-bit memory interface, a 1GB of GDDR5 memory @ 3600MHz, two DVI outputs, CrossFireX support and the new Glaciator+ fansink for keeping the card some 12% cooler than the reference solution.
